Overview

Haversack delivered operational and financial gains for a craft manufacturer of traditional Japanese ingredients, supporting the client’s commitment to celebrating diverse cultures by ensuring the products arrived on time in optimal condition.

Challenge #1

Full Truckload (FTL) shipments were sourced to a single provider, limiting competitive pricing, while Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipments incurred steep markups from third-party logistics partners.

Solution

Haversack applied a competitive FTL bid board structure to increase competition and reduce freight costs and created a tailored network of LTL carriers offering better rates.

Challenge #2

Unclear invoicing processes, a lack of visibility into shipments, and poor broker communication contributed to operational inefficiencies and avoidable costs.

Solution

Haversack implemented Haversack TMS and Network Management to streamline operations, established an API connection to track vessel locations and key sites, and leveraged business intelligence to identify inefficiencies and analyze spending trends.

Results

Haversack enhanced the client’s operational performance and supply chain efficiency by combining strategic carrier partnerships with data-driven decisions.
